Soil and Water Conservation Cost-share

Landowners in the Lower Big Blue NRD planning to install terraces, diversions, grassed waterways, or other conservation practices will have the opportunity to apply for cost-share assistance during the week of June 3-7^th at their local NRCS office.

Landowners applying for cost-share assistance will make application at the NRCS offices in Beatrice, Fairbury, Wilber, and Pawnee City. Approximately $275,000 will be available for the 2002-03 cost-share program. The cost-share rate for assistance will be 50% for all applications. Last year, landowners installed over 104 miles of terraces, 80 acres of grassed waterways, and 114,700 feet of tiled outlets in the Lower Big Blue NRD.
